HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

Course Outline:

This course applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs. This course may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
- Respond to an emergency situation
- Apply appropriate first aid procedures
- Communicate details of the incident
- Head, chest and spinal injuries
- Review the incident
Training Course Outcomes:
After successful completion participants will receive Nationally Recognized Certificates
Duration:
- This course is run over a single day
- 8am registration (mandatory)
- Course runs from 830am to 630pm
- Please allow time at the end of the day for assessment marking if you want to receive your certificate on the day
