Course Outline:
Responsible Service of Alcohol training (also known as NSW RSA course) is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to a safe, enjoyable environment in licensed premises where alcohol is served and sold.
Training Course Outcome:
Once a competent mark is awarded, student will be issued with a Statement of Attainment. Student will be emailed a temporary / interim RSA certificate issued by Liquor and Gaming NSW, however printed copy is also available. This can be used to commence work and is valid for 90 days To obtain the RSA competency card, the interim RSA certificate is to be taken to a registered Services NSW office to apply.
Course Details:
If you are looking for work in any establishment that sells or serves alcohol in NSW, it is a government requirement for you to have completed a Liquor and Gaming NSW approved RSA course (Responsible Service of Alcohol Course).
Who can enrol:
RSA course should be undertaken only if you have never done this course before, or your competency card expired more than 28 days ago. If you have a valid RSA competency card or it has expired recently, you need to do a L&GNSW online refresher course

Duration:
The course is run for 6 & 1/2 hours over the course of 1 day.
Arrive 30 minutes earlier to complete necessary paperwork.
Please leave 30 minutes after class for assessment marking.

Important Information:
- If you did RSA course but didn’t order a competency card and your RSA interim certificate is expired, you do not need to do a course again. You cannot work in the industry after an expiration date but you still can go to Service NSW and order your card.· If you don’t remember when your competency card expires, you can check it on L&GNSW portal in the section “Manage RSA/RCG Competency Card“.
