Course Outline:

Provide Responsible Gambling Services training (also known as NSW RCG course) is designed for the people who work in clubs and hotels in NSW to clarify specific roles and responsibilities, as well as the laws relating to responsible gambling practices, which are designed to minimise gambling harm. The course is designed to develop your skills to confidently and proactively respond to patrons showing warning signs of problematic gambling behaviour, and provide the appropriate assistance.

Who can enrol:

RCG training is mandatory if your work duties involve gaming machines. RCG training applies to:
- licensees of a full hotel licence
- secretaries of a registered club
- staff with gaming machine duties
- staff who pay out winnings
- staff who patrol or serve in the gaming machine area.
- RCG course should be undertaken only if you have never done this course before, or your competency card expired more than 28 days ago. If you have a valid RCG competency card or it has expired recently, you need to do a L&GNSW online refresher course Click Here.

Training Course Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive:
· National RCG statement of Attainment
· NSW RCG Interim certificate
Please note: RCG interim certificate will only be issued after students have completed an additional online course emailed to them by Liquor and Gaming NSW.

Duration:

The course is run for 6.5 hours over the course of 1 day.
Arrive 30 minutes earlier to complete necessary paperwork.
Please leave 30 minutes after class for assessment marking.

How to get your RCG competency card:

· Complete the RCG training successfully with us then you will receive a link in your email to complete the L&GNSW online RCG assessment and after the completion you will receive NSW RCG interim certificate.
· Present your interim certificate to a Service NSW Centre and complete a 100 point identification check.
· Service NSW will send your card to your nominated address via mail. Please allow up to one month for its delivery.

Important Information:

· · If you did RCG course but didn’t order a competency card and your RCG interim certificate is expired, you do not need to do a course again. You cannot work in the industry after an expiration date, but you still can go to Service NSW and order your card.
· If you don’t remember when your competency card expires, you can check it on L&GNSW portal in the section “Manage RSA/RCG competency card”
